Diogenesister:
Excellent idea, I will keep that in mind. I was a little more blunt and just said what I said here. But I got away with it lol.
yesterday my congregation met for field service and the elder taking the lead did something not so smart: he brought up the child abuse situation and the recent news articles hitting local news across the country.
he said 'you can see that the persecution is really coming' and that we should be ready if someone complains about it at the door.
(funny how it's persecution when it's us and righteous judgment when it happens to the other churches.

Before long everyone was googling it right there in the Kingdom Hall on their tablets and phones. There was a lot of cognitive dissonance going around. With some it manifested as awkward, weak apologetics. With most it was just uncomfortable silence. We all went out to eat right after . . . And NOBODY ended up going out in service that day!
please consider joining this private group dedicated to exposing a religious cult which lies about its past, endangers the lives of its members, tears apart families, and shields pedophiles from prosecution while masquerading as a benevolent religion.. .

I would like to, but I'm PIMO and can't risk it being seen.
its taken from 1 thessalonians 4:13-17. now jesus compared the end to the days of noah .
but as the days of noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.
why did he compare the two and does it give us a clue to which teaching is the right one?.
Yes, paradise is in heaven. Not a single reference to resurrection to earth mentioned in the new testament. Explicitly the exact opposite:
first of all, there's a new imaginary picture of jws during the great tribulation:.
then there's a picture of a jw family refusing to listen to "apostate lies" via pre-programed, self imposed information control:.
the description says:.

When a report
appears on TV about apostates who spread lies
about Jehovah’s Witnesses, a Witness family
right away turns off the TV. Later, during family
worship, the father uses a Bible passage to
strengthen the faith of the family.
is it my imagination or are most witnesses weird, odd, and “different “?
it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.
and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..
what would it be?.
mine would be "rocket man" by elton john.

Let It Go
with the posts about the entertainment, new music, general content of the assemblies i got to thinking.
why don't they make the next big video a musical?.
The crazier the better. More might wake up.
i saw this picture today, not sure you saw it as well, but couldn't resist sharing.
it basically shows the existing fence between usa and mexico.
apparently someone installed some see-saws on the fence so that children on both sides can play together.
Thanks for that fact filled analysis and rebuttal.

The fence is in their head though. It doesn't take money or good government to, say, pick up trash, wash your body and clothes in water, train animals or keep them away, etc. People just bring their bad habits with them. It takes education to undo the habits passed between generations, but it also takes respect for yourself and others and willingness. Those who refuse to enter the country legally are already far less likely to change for the better or contribute to society.
